Welcome to Meedio

Thank you for showing an interest in our secure video solution for safe communication.

Create account

First, you need to create an account. This is done by:

  • Entering your email address
  • Read and accept Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions


Once you have created your account, you log in by visiting our website on

Please, follow the steps below to log into your account:

  • Enter your email address
  • Press join

An email with a “Magic Link” is sent to your email account.
Press the link provided in the email, and you will be taken to your account.


New Meeting 

Once you are logged in you may start a new meeting.

Press the “New Meeting” button.

Invite Participants

You may invite participants to the meeting by:

  • Copying a link and posting it to chats, calendars or any other medium
  • Sending an email with meeting link 

Join a Meeting

  • First, click on the meeting link.
  • You will be taken to a pre-meeting screen.
  • Please, enter your name and read and accept our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions. Then press join meeting.'
  • You are now in the video meeting.



Meedio is a peer-to-peer and end-to-end encrypted video consultation service, that ensures a safe and secure environment for video communication.

While in video meetings, several features are available.


If you wish to turn off your microphone, you can press the mute button. A muted icon will appear next to your name.

If you wish to unmute your microphone, simple press the mute button again and your microphone will be turned on.

Video on/off

If you wish to turn off your video, please press the video off button. Your video stream is now turned off.

If your wish to turn your video back on, press the video on button.

Share screen

It is possible for you to share your screen. Simply, press the share screen button. You are now sharing your screen.

If you want to exit screen sharing press the share screen button again. A text box will appear asking you, if you want to exit share screen. If you confirm, you will end screen sharing.

Share meeting

If you are allowed to share the meeting, a share meeting button will be available.

If you press the share meeting button you’ll be able to send a link by email or copy a link and share it by posting it into any text.




In order to use Meedio, the following technical requirements must be fulfilled:

  • Meedio support any computer, which has microphone and meets browser requirements.

  • Meedio is tested against and supports the following desktop browsers:

    • Microsoft Windows 10

      • Google Chrome (latest stable version)

      • Opera(lateststableversion)

      • Microsoft Edge (latest stable version; Chromium-based only)

    • MacOS 10.12 and newer
      • Google Chrome (latest stable version)
      • Opera(lateststableversion)
      • Microsoft Edge (latest stable version; Chromium-based only)
  • For best results, we recommend you to use the latest version of Google Chrome.

  • Any chosen supported internet browser must meet the following requirements:

    • JavaScript is enabled.

    • Cookies are enabled.

    • Stream API (Readable, Writeable and Transform streams) is supported.

    • Peer-to-peer is supported (

  • My camera and microphone is not working, what is wrong?
Make sure that camera and microphone devices are not used by other video meetings applications.
In the bottom of the meeting you will the controls to manage camera and microphone.
  • Turn your camera on/off and/or choose another camera if you are using a webcam.
  • Turn your microphone on/off and/or choose another audio device.
  • If you experience issues with an external audio device you should visit your computer/mac sound settings and choose the external microphone for sound in- and output. 
If this is not the cause of the challenges you may be experiencing, there are a few things you can do to get back on track.
  • Update your browser
Start by checking your browser version. See 'Requirements' for information about supported browsers.
  • You have accidentally blocked permissions
When you enter our website Meedio asks for permissions to access your camera and microphone. If you, accidentally, chose “Block” instead of “Allow” you are not able to use microphone and/or camera.
You can see if this might be the case if you look at the camera icon in the address bar.
If the camera icon are blocked you have to: Click the icon and press “Try Again”.
  • Check your system and browser settings (MacOs)
You might experience that due to system-level privacy controls your microphone and camera has been blocked. You are able to check if this is in your system preferences. To access you should:
  1. Click on the apple logo in the top left -> select System Preferences
  2. Click on Security & Privacy section
  3. Click on Camera in the list of options and tick the box next to your browser to allow access.
  4. Repeat the steps for Microphone.
  5. Restart your browser and the issue should be solved.
  • Clear your cache and cookies
The issues could be related to permission cookies, blocked by another application.
If this is the case we recommend you to clear your cache and cookies for the entire browser and restart your computer. How to clear your cache and cookies varies depending on browser.
  • What can I do when I experience network/connection issues? 
It's a good idea to try out a few different networks to rule out the possibility of a WiFi issue. Switching to a different router, mobile hotspot, or trying an ethernet connection may resolve the issue.
  • Why don’t I receive a mail with a log in code?
This issue may occur for a number of reasons but most likely it is caught by your spamfilter. We recommend you check your spam e-mail inbox. If you still haven't received an e-mail we ask you to try requesting an e-mail again.
  • How do I switch between Meedio accounts?
To switch between Meedio accounts you need to log out and log in again.
  • Can I use a firewall, VPN or Proxy Server with Meedio?
  • Firewalls
We do understand that many organizations prefer to route their network traffic through a firewall to improve privacy and security. However, because Meedio is built using WebRTC technology, we do need some traffic to be allowed through the firewall. If the settings aren't adjusted, it's possible that you will experience difficulty connecting to the room.
  • Setup
To use Meedio behind your firewall, a network administrator will need to adjust the settings on the firewall. For this to work, port 443 will need to be open to all TCP and UDP traffic.
  • Proxy or VPN Servers
At the moment we don't use a static range of IP addresses for Meedio’s servers, so we don't recommend using Meedio behind a proxy or VPN. In some cases, users will have initial success using Meedio behind these services, but in many cases, those users do end up experiencing connection issues at some point in time.
  • Can I schedule a meeting on behalf of someone else?
No, you can’t schedule the meeting on behalf of someone else, but you can schedule the meeting and invite others to the meeting.
  • How do I integrate my meeting to my calendar?
Once you schedule the meeting you can add it to the calendar by pressing the ‘Add to calendar’ button.
  • Can I host a meeting and use a pre-recorded presentation?
Yes, you can host it with the pre-recorded presentation, if you have an application, which streams audio and video as input devices.
  •  How can I embed my Meedio room on my website?
Meedio does not support this feature yet, however, you can add the Meedio link to your website.
